manometer's

i have both but always use my digital gauge. turns on straight away and reads in .01 of milibars and easy to read. No messing keeping it upright and keeping water in. Just plug and read.

does get calibrated but then i use water gauge or summat else for 3 days or whatever.

Now where does one find water in the middle of a field

In the cattle trough?

Softus what do you do with the manometer?

You mentioned "supporting casts" and I replied to tell you about a theatre play which I enjoyed so much that I will probably go again on Monday as its having a second run.

i use the regin premier manometer. It goes upto 45mb and has the very expensive blue fluid in. It is very easy to see and no cal needed. It is very hard to loose the fluid in it so very rarely need topping up. you can tip it upside down and the fluid won't come out. It was quite expensive compared to others but it is very good for day to day use.

Have normal, + ££ blue fluid regin + 2 x electronic.
Only use the electronic until the corgi inspection comes.
Corgi even want the blue fluid checked for specific gravity
They don't seem to go out of cal but are simple enough to check.
Any leak is really obvious within seconds when reading to 0.01mbar, whether for drains or gas.

Only tool to use for boilers where you have to check tiny burner pressures, and invaluable for checking APS's and fans.

Small, doesn't matter which way up it is, lights up for dark cupboards.

I see there's one which reads to 0.001 mbar. Not sure how extra useful that would be.

well im convinced! :D

anyone reccomend a decent make and model please? :?:

Mine are (I lost one and bought another then found it...) Anton APM xxx where I think xxx is 140. You don't need the one with extra buttons for changing units though.
You DO need Differential (2 connections), and they don't all go to 0.01mbar. This one does, up to 19.99, then it goes 20.0 up, which is OK.

Don't buy from Corgi-ripoff! You can always get stuff cheaper elsewhere.

Measure gas pressure.

Oh. I see. In that case I sincerely hope you enjoy it just as much as the first time around.
