Hi,
Where a central heating system has a manual bypass it's a simple job to swap to an auto bypass valve, but..
The pipework is all 22mm but is stepped down to 15mm to run through manual bypass and then stepped back up to 22mm to re-join the system pipework.
Why would this have been done? Would the correct thing to do be to replace the bypass pipework with 22mm or is it ok to just put the new valve in with appropriate pipe fittings?
Thanks
