After reading the posts on various types of silicone & modulus etc,
(see :- //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10157&highlight=silicone )
I was advised the other day to "only use MARINE SILICONE in a bathroom"This is the grade of silicone as used on boats and in aquariums and apparently will not go mouldy. This geocell/dow corning link shows the product I am thinking of using at top of page. It's high modulus so I m not sure if thats a good or bad thing when it comes to sealing around the bath rim and basin rim etc
http://www.geocel.co.uk/content_product4.htm
Can anyone tell wether they have used such a marine selant product in a bathroon environment and whether its a good idea as per the recent advice I was given.
thanks
