Hi guys.
I constructed a chimney breast like feature in my living room which I have my tv recessed into. I built it from mdf filling any imperfections and then covered it in lining paper.
Now the problem I'm having is after 4 months or so the adhesive sticking the lining paper looks to have failed along the end grain of mdf.

Any ideas on now I could fix this without stripping it down to the bare bones again, wife will go nuts if that's the case.

Don't really know why you bothered lining it with paper, as it seems to be painted with emulsion.

You could inject some paste into the paper with a syringe, then brush over with wallpaper brush and clean up any excess paste.

You may have to repaint again.

You have to make sure the paper is firmly stuck down round any edges or 'lines'.

Sometimes the odd slit here and there in the paper can help round any tricky corners.
