Megaflo - have a question re pros and cons ???

Hi there - can anyone please advise on this?

If there is a Megaflo Indirect Megatech Solar 300 litre the same price as a 210 litre HE indirect - should I buy it?

I would love to install solar panels at some stage (when we have the bucks) but it won't be for a year or so.

Our water needs are 210 litre but this 300 litre is the same price as the 210. (private sale) Are there any cons to this? Would I be wasting power or money by buying the 300 instead of the 210?

private sale could well mean no warranty.

second point, tank will be heated whether you use it or not. bit pointless heating 100 litres of water every day for nothing, but not for free.
today's cylinders have very fast re-heat times so even if you would run out, it would not be for long
