I am looking at various membranes to wrap my workshop in before cladding it with shiplap. The external skin of the stud walls will be OSB, with some form of membrane, battening for an air gap, then cladding.

What membrane do people recommend?
Can the membrane also be used to cover the roof to act as a barrier between OSB and the Galvanised roof sheets?

People mention Tyvek, but there appear to be lots of options under this brand and its unclear what I am actually buying.

Tyvek is often used as a generic term bit like hoover.

Any breather membrane will do really. Some will have minor thermal properties etc and there is a huge variety in cost. Unless you plan to have an airtight passive-shed then a basic breather will do.
