I was born in an Edwardian terraced street to an alcoholic (and later to be a single/divorced) mum. I started on £25 per week labouring and loved it. However, like a good conservative, I took up the reins when my old gaffer retired and built up my own business, bought (and later paid for) my own house and extended it to death, without borrowing a penny.
I've not built the ivory tower you speak of though.

As to Malone being the "inventor or mRNA and DNA vaccines", I think you'll find that is definitily a topic of discussion and dissent at present. To quite from an article in Nature (14 September 2021), "Today’s mRNA jabs have innovations that were invented years after Malone’s time in the lab, including chemically modified RNA and different types of fat bubble to ferry them into cells."
