1974 MGB GT V8, STARTED HAVING A CLUTCH PROBLEM,WORKS OK MOST OF THE TIME .THE FEELS "SOFT" AND DRAGS, IF PRESSED A FEW TIMES WORKS AGAIN FOR A WHILE, ANY ADVICE BEFORE IT GOES TO THE GARAGE,

I am reasonably sure this is Hydraulic actuated ... as opposed to cable .. Spridgets from that era were hydraulic actuated.
Can you ID the clutch master cylinder with piping to the slave cylinder (mounted somewhere awkward I am sure) ?

If tis hydraulic... losing fluid? where from ?
Potential master or slave cylinder seal problem, fluid pipe??
