First noticed that pump overrun never actually stopped. Thought PCB fault so have changed it twice but still have the same problem. Then noticed that the pipe work was always really hot and in about 20 mins of being in boiler area the boiler ignited twice and was alight for about 1 min each time. The frost thermostat has been removed so this isn't calling for heat and neither the hot water or central heating is calling for heat. Any thoughts

Thanks for the reply, yes you are right. The micro switch is staying closed on the Hot water valve and demanding heat. How do you fix the micro switch?

Hi, Its a British Gas BGMVSP-2 valve actuator which is the same as a Drayton ZA5 (22mm) I think

Remove the powerhead and check that the spindle moves freely. Fit a new head and wire like for like. Little black button on the side releases the head.
Very rarely do the motors seize. Those heads are notorious for your described fault.

Hi, lubricated the micro switch and it's working now. Think I will order a replacement to be on the safe side. Thanks for the help.
