Hi

So I must admit that before attempting to find and repair the PCB on my Miele, the only DIY I had done was put together a flat pack cupboard from Ikea. So having read through nearly every post about this issue I cant see how to unclip the front PCB. Any help would be great, I have a tiny flat and currently have the top sitting in my front room.

If its like the WT945, the controller is mounted at the bottom of the outer skin/front panel.

Theres a clip on the bottom edge that you feel for along the bottom edge of front panel, and push this upwards, the case of the board will then move slightly and with a wiggle will come free....

Motor Brushes are the first thing to check/replace, Give us an accurate description of exactly how/when and what phase the machine is in when it faults and flashes rinses....

The w562 has a combined power & control unit that is mounted behind the program control panel.

You may want to check the motor brushes first.

Hi thanks for the replies,

I managed to unlcip the front panel but couldn't get to the PCB. How hard is it to find and replace the brushes?

From underneath.....

Make sure there's no water in the machine--Drain via the filter in the front, then turn the machine on its (right hand) side, remove bottom plate and the motor is sat there on the bottom of the tub....

Brush-gear is part of the white plastic frame attached to the back end (front of machine) side of the motor--Under the shaped grey plastic splash-shield.

You'll need a TORX screwdriver to remove splash-shield then unplug the connectors from the motor and then remove the three? set-screws from the brush-gear frame.

Google Youtube Miele Motor Brush replacement for info/video how to replace brushes in that plastic frame....

Available from most places and ebay.....

If the bottom is sealed (Newer machines have no hole in the bottom) you have to go through the front.
Bottom plastic off (pry it off)
Two torx screws on the left and right bottom (You dont need to remove all 4)
Door rubber retaining ring removed
Door latch screws removed
Finally bolt/screw under the drum opening.

Be careful as the whole front comes off (The top portion is held by plastic plugs).

Here is a video about the brushes
