Do you know if it possible to buy just the diaphragm part? Or would it just be easier just to buy a cheap whole triple water valve inlet from ebay and take the one of the diaphragm off that and use it on my fitted one?

You could always swap it with the one from the pre-wash. The 3 solenoids are for pre, main(and rinse) and softener I think (Memory is getting on).
Personally I would buy a used one from ebay. You only need one of the 3....

Its good you have narrowed it down.
 
That is exactly what i did do however it only worked for 2 washes then the softener water inlet stopped working (red light again). I managed to source a used miele triple water inlet off ebay and changed diaphragm on the prewash and softener inlet so far it has been working fine now for several washes. Fingers crossed it survives a bit longer.
