Morning,
it'll soon be new kitchen time, ATM the flooring is minging, sticky old parquet. Any idea what floor prep would be needed when it come up. I think its stuck down with bitumen stuff. Does that all need to come up or can it be scraped level then self leveled?

The parquet floor definitely needs to come up & a large flat blade spade does this well. The bitumastic adhesive also need to be removed/neutralised as well or you could have problems but what you do by way of preparation for your new tiled floor rather depends on what’s under the parquet floor, is it suspended timber or concrete?
