Mixer tap won't stop

Hi, I've had a new mixer tap fitted a few months back, it now won't turn off, not just a drip, the tap is on full, I've had to shut it off at the valve!!
Anyone know the cause, is it easy to sort?.

If 1/4 turn tap there maybe some scale or grit stuck in the cartridge.
Either way the tap will need stripping and looking at.
