Hi can anyone tell me what type of glands to use with MK junction boxes & switches?.

I am putting 2.5mm 3 core SWA cable into the junction box, I did purchase some 20's glangs but these are to small for the holes in the box.
May be an easy answer but not had much experiance with these items.

cheers

Do you mean Masterseal JBs/switch enclosures/etc?

I always thought that the entries were indeed 20mm....

The hole is 20mm but the glands I've got look way to small for the hole
It is the MK master seal JBs & switches!!

Some smaller gland sizes can be referred to as M20 but in fact are M16. A tad confusing of course. Here's a typical spec sheet for the type of glands we would use although these glands are for use on a petrochemical plant type of environment. I'm not familiar with the JB you are using, are they threaded entries, knock out type or can they be drilled? If they are threaded, you can buy thread adaptors providing your cable will fit these glands correctly. Personally, I'd take them back and get the right thread entry size.
