I am controlling my outside lights withone of the above. The instructions do not recommend compact fluorescent lamps. Is there any way I can use CFL's ?

When i go to my electrical wholesaler what do I ask for exactly

have you got a photocell that can switch CFL's

A zodion photocell would be the easiest soloution.
Ive used Royce Thompson microstar 2000 cells to switch CFL lamps with no problems.
