More pipe lagging - what's it made of?

That's hair felt - no asbestos 
One of my first jobs (1972) was putting that stuff on the pipes in an Edwardian house undercroft. It's good now that "hot working" is not allowed - a small flame near that stuff, and it will run along the whole length - as my co worker showed me , out in the open !
