Hi folks. Going a bit mad...I replaced a handful of paving slabs (pressed concrete mix of grey with a dash of yellow through them) as a fe seemed to have a dye leak. The foundation is type 1 and sand, which has been totally fine for me in all other cases.
After a rainy night, all of the new slabs, which had been stored in my garage have got what looks like wet edges and corners (see attached) - problem being, they don’t dry out after several warm days, inc 1 that I’ve lifted just to make sure it wasn’t somehow overly wet sand underneath. I’ve tried to dry one with the wife’s hair dryer but it’s beginning to feel like it’s not wet after all.
I didn’t brush kiln dried into the joints the night it rained but I really can’t see that ruining them, given they sit out in the rain in the garden centre for days usually.
Firstly - any ideas why the heck happened?
Secondly - in the absence of another solution, would a wet/Matt look sealer potentially work to get a consistent colour?
