Mortar loose

Morning guy's. My neighbour pointed out a problem on my roof edge(bad photo attached). The mortar has come loose & obviously needs replacing. I've also noticed it's coming loose further down as well.

Is it something I could sort out easily myself, if I felt inclined to climb on neighbour's roof. Also, would it be better to replace the whole line of mortar then. What kind of mix for the mortar should I use. Cheers Doug

You need to work out how to safely access the roof as well as doing the job.

Got a mate who has a scaffold tower. Haven't spoken to him yet, but I/hope assume it will reach upto neighbour's roof. His roof has tiles, whether mine is slate, so should be easier to access the problem area. Regards Doug
