Our upvc front door has been sticking for a while and i noticed a crack in the mortor joints above the brick archway above. I have filled it in for now to prevent moistyre from gwtting in but hiw should i go about gwtting this fixed properly please? Do i need a surveyor and BC, or just a competent builder to sort out?

Holy Jezus! That is one ugly feature that will have twisted the melons and sanity of any self-respecting bricky. Who ever came up with that chaotic mess, must have been sniffing glue.

Instruct a structural engineer to diagnose and devise a repair.

It may require reinforcement to stop further movement, or in the extreme, rebuilding of the arch.

A builder won't know the correct repair for the specific circumstances, just what he did on the last similar job.
