Hi. I'm about to put some mosaic travertine above a wash hand basin as a splashback. I found some old references to this on the site...but the links in it were out of date and there was no explanation of the links so I can't tell what they were referring to. So apologies for asking a question that may have been answered some time ago, but the previous answers might not be valid now.
It's only 2 sheets of the mosaic.
For a splashback would I need to seal the wall behind it first for water soaking through the grout?
For travertine in a splashback do I need to seal the tiles? Before or after (or both) putting them up? And what products do you find work best?
I'm hoping that anything I need doesn't come in big 10L tins for just 2 sheets!
Thanks for any knowledge you can give.
