Hello, I'm new here, so I hope that I'm posting in the right section!
We've just bought a house that has the most hideous ceramic floor tiles. We'd like to cover it up by laying parquet, but our budget only permits us to lay the mosaic-parquet. We particularly like the look of the mosaic as well, we don't like laminate or parquet that looks like laminate either.
We understand that the surface needs to be as even as possible before doing this. What can we use to do this? We were thinking of a thin layer of cement over the tiles, but are just not sure...
Any ideas would be most welcome!
