MOT extension due to Covid

If I had the problem I'd phone the police and ask for advice.

Did just that.......... Greys Mallory Traffic Base, confirmed that it is illegal in normal times.
Some leeway is being given at the moment.

My understanding, is that used on the road means "use" on the road.

Unpaid carer.

Aren't we all? ;)

I know what you mean though. I am an unpaid carer for my disabled wife and stepson. I don't mind doing it though as I'm semi-retired and have time on my hands.

:) The answer is to get a car that was registered before 1980 then no need for tax or mot. Not sure how those fit in with congestion charges etc.

In a nutshell, if a car is reported as parked on the road with either no tax or insurance, it can be removed and the owner fined. Try reporting a car parked on the road that is taxed and insured but with an expired mot and see who would be remotely interested. Police? Local council?

If their interpretation of the law during lockdown is anything to go by, you'd be better off asking the fat bloke down the pub.

Blame the law not the police. Boris should have written a list of essential items.
