Very interesting thread. Di you also know, that although you are entitled to drive other cars on your own insurance( albeit at third party ins only). If you read the small print, you will find that technically you should inform them that you are driving another car.

best option is to get the car uplifted and taken to MOT station, or to arrange garage to uplift/MOT and return they would prob have insurance to cover this
