It is common to have internal motion sensors that wirelessly send a signal to set off an alarm siren when the alarm is set and motion is detected.
Does anyone know of a similar type of remote sensor that can send a signal to a controller which turns on lights instead of setting off an alarm?
Or alternatively, an alarm that can turn on lights instead of a siren.

Hi,
There are solutions if you go with a smart home approach, rather than using a dedicated alarm system.
You can get remote sensors that connect to 'Alexa' and in turn, switch on a smart bulb. I.e.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/All-New-Motion-sensor-Third-Reality/dp/B07VF43BG1
(Or search 'motion sensors for Alexa' in Amazon)
Bosch also make a system:

I hope that helps!

Thanks for your response.

I do not have a smart system and after further research found something which appears to be exactly what I am looking for - and at a sensible price -

Transmitters - https://www.trust.com/en/product/71091-wireless-motion-sensor-apir-2150-for-outdoor-use

and a receiver to work the external lighting (3 units up to a total of 3.5kw) - https://www.trust.com/en/product/71053-3-in-1-built-in-switch-acm-3500-3 -
