Hi

I cant find the motorised Valve for my heating system. Typically I have plenty of hot water but no heating. I need to adjust from Auto to Manual as this might fix the problem in the short term but cant find it. It's nowhere near the boiler or the hot water tank, or anywhere in the attic.
Any Ideas?

The heating system is a Potterton Kingfisher CF50 1N

Are you sure you have one?
If your hot water is heated by gravity circulation then the central heating might be just a matter of turning the pump on! And if the central heating is not working, check the pump! Systems like I describe may have a gravity check valve on the heating circuit which opens under the pressure of the pump only

If there are three or four water pipes connected to the boiler, you have gravity circulation for the HW.

If it is a gravity system and the CH doesn't work, but HW does, the pump is not working.
