Some of the new battens have got black mould on them. I thought they should be treated to prevent that.

Will they be ok behind the tiles once dry or should I remove them or spray with 5star fungicide?

I don't want to cover over if going to be a problem in future.

Thanks

Bowlzi, good evening.

Was it you who ordered these battens? if so can you recall what you asked for?

Do the battens appear to have a "colour" red or green perhaps?

What does the delivery note call these battens?

Finally how long have the battens been on site and in what conditions wee they stored in?

Sorry for all the Questions but?

Ken

Hi ken,
Yes I just asked for battens. Not coloured but think the bloke in yard aged if I wanted blue or green.i can't tell if they are green but maybe he meant green as in untreated?
I'll spray the ones that are mouldy.
They have been laying on the flat roof below for a week or so.
