hello,

please could someone kindly explain (preferably with marking on the diagram) where the manhole marked with a red cross should be moved too and where to re-connect it. I need to move it for a kitchen extension.

It is a manhole draining 3 houses in total as you can see from the diagram.

thank you

You need permission from your Water authority as it is their drainage/sewer, liaise with them and they will let you know what is required.

How far do you want to extend? This would be helpful to answer.

You probably need to move the chamber left to the boundary, run forward then you'll need 2 new chambers to get back into line. This should work unless the existing drain is tight on fall.

You will have to submit information to the water co, together with a fee of course. Best get your designer to sort you out a drawing for this.

It will be a 3 meter extension full breadth of the house. The manhole would end up right in the middle of the extension.

Before applying for permission and planning I just want an idea of what needs to be done.

Thanks
