Moving a Premier Elite 24 bell box

Hi

I have a Premier Elite 24 control panel and need to move bell box which is this model or similar;

And I have this communicator:

I would be using a different wire to connect the bell box to the alarm panel in its new location.

So my question, is it best to put the unit into engineer mode and power it down make the change and then power back up ?

Is the a specific procedure powering down or up I should follow?

Panel leave in engineers mode
Down power completely
