Moving My Consumer Unit

Hello all ... I'm moving my consumer unit 8 meters i think i need 25mm cable and 16mm earth my consumer unit has a 100a breaker in it ... do i need a switch fused isolator in the run? if so what amp would it need to be ? the house is a 2 up 2 down small property... please help

you can nt move your cu yourself, since it will be live, ask your REC to put in an isolator for you.

I am at the stage of moving my cu isolator is fitted

It's not normal to have tails longer than 2 metres. I'd ask your REC about it if I were you because special protection may be required.

you could move your cu 8 metres however any tails longer than 3 metres would have to protected by a fuse to suit size of cable

some seem to say 2m others say 3m i belive there is one that says unlimited provided its 25mm tails
