I have just tried to open my Robin Powerpat program and a window appears with the message

"16 bit ms-dos subsystem
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
system file not suitable for running ms-dos windows applications"

Ihave had a few probs lately with viruses and have reloaded windows too, but this program has always run until last week, any ideas anyone

Thanks

Autoexec.nt is sometimes removed by the SP2 update process. Fortunately, there is a copy. Assuming you have installed Windows XP to your C drive, open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\WINDOWS\REPAIR. Copy autoexec.nt to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32.
