Museum Piece?

Today I had to remove this fantastic, fully functioning, fine example of a 2 bar belling electric fire. It looks to be around 1950s? to me. I have no use for it but it seems such a shame to throw it away as it is in such good condition. Is there a museum or some 'sad' collector out there who might be interested in this piece.

My father still has one of these installed and working in his computer room

If you find someone willing to pay good money for it, let me know and I'll be round there with a screwdriver

We've worked out that his lighting fuse box is probably late 30's vintage I'll post a pic of it before it gets ripped out in the next few months and replaced with something a little more contemporary, and maybe younger than I am!

Nope, its metal, double pole fuses and still going strong (neutral fuses were replaced with higher value some years ago to ensure the phase ones blow first) but from what my Father thinks it must have been done when the house was built in the late 30s.

I am looking forward to the joy of replacing it and the lighting wiring sometime this Summer...

Not me, thats for sure, but you should never underestimate what society is capabale of producing... some people would have ahem 'use' for a corpse
