Mushroom foraging.

A rogue mushroom native to Asia is ripping through North American forests, after escaping from cultivation. As it runs riot, mushroom enthusiasts are rescuing the native fungi in its path.

They’ve done a lot of work in the woods where I used to forage - particularly along the sides of the tracks I walk. Didn’t see much last year but I saw the first signs of new growth this morning when I spied a young parasol mushroom although it was on the other side of one of the new wire fences they had put up and out of my reach. A few years ago there was a gate through that fence but since renewing the fence, they’ve done away with the gate.

Wouldn't touch them except maybe the magic type if I can confirm them

The side effects from the poisonous ones is just too nasty , kidneys etc.
