My Vokera Excell 80SP's Weekend

Thats scaling in the PRIMARY heat exchanger!

It may indicate a reduced pump flow rate or poor response time from the thermostat. You could try putting thermal conductivity past on the sensor or just turn it down a bit!

Thanks Tony,

I can get hold of some electronic paste (I guess its the same) I will try that. (i'm assuming the sensor is the one clipped to the pipe) will check up in the manual.

No thats not it.

The sensor (NTC Thermistor) sits in a wet pocket.

The noise is probably what Tony suggested.

If your plumber is convinced that its the DHW heat exchanger ask him if there will be no charge if it is not that.
If he says ok (i would be supprised if he did) go for it ;)

About two pages ago I said this post is not going anywhere, and it has not.

What this boiler needs is someone who knows howw it functions and not 'today I will try this and tomorrow that'

For goodness sake, stop tinkering with the boiler and get it repaired by someone who knows what he is doing.

Good way to find out is ask if they carry parts for this boiler.

Good shout. Very long post going absolutely no where by the looks of it.

okok, this post HAS helped me a great deal.. From these posts I went from a boiler that was running Hot/Stone Cold to a boiler that is much much better. I also understand more about them which I see as a good thing.
Sometimes its not just about the boiler, but its about the learning path I've been on finding out how these things work. I have found it very interesting.

In learning, you can sometimes go down the wrong path, but with guidance you get there in the end.
I am sorry if this has annoyed some of you.
Its a great shame most Forums end up with annoyed locals.

Thanks again to all the people who have helped me.

Alex...please don't be put off.

Any more problems with your boiler be sure to come back for more advice.

;)

Thanks :) I will be back, I'm sure..
All methods of discussion will have friction, you can't escape that. I'm not put off.
My probs have inspired me to learn more.
