Hi all,

Was just hoping someone could put my mind to rest a little.

Just had a 3x5m kitchen extension with a 20degree pitched roof.

The tiles that have been put on are Marley Moderns (Eternit) and are quite big not sure on exact sizes but will find out.

Anyhow I asked the roofer if he'd be nailnig every 3 or so and he said he prob wouldn't be nailing any, maybe a few.

He reckons as the pitch it so low and the fact they are pan tiles, that they dont need it.

Would you guys/gals agree with this?

All the rest of the work he has done seems good, but wanted to make sure he just wasn't saving time.

Thanks in advance.

Moderns come with or without nail holes you specify which when you order., as long as your not on the sea front or extremely exposed you will be fine.
If you are in a dodgy area some nailing and or clipping would be a must
Tile clips can be added even after it has been tiled.

Thanks for the replies, they came with one nail hole in each but sounds like they will be ok.

Couldnt really understand the Marley PDF Freddie.

you have nothing to worry about!! at that pitch your roofer will have at least 4" head lap unless your right on the sea front it will be fine. if it is all tiles should be clipped...
