Brexit was all about regaining the ability to go further,
Is it you and your 17 million friends who will decide these things or the Government?

through setting our own rules, including those governing immigration.
The Conservative Government is to start considering 'us' and 'our' is it?

If would be immigrants don't like those rules in the future, they are not compelled to come here.
What if the Government, because they are Conservative, and because they want the cheap labour to continue, don't do anything about immigration?

What if the Government, because they are Conservative, don't improve, but worsen, your conditions of employment?

What if the Government, because they are Conservative, give the 350 million a week to their mates?

Believe me I have no faith in politicians.
But the government will be our government elected by us and subject to being booted out by us, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT. ffs

At least they will be that bit more accountable.

We've already seem examples of increased racist attacks, following the referendum. The Brexiteers have demonstrated that winning the referendum was not enough.

So it was the "Brexiteers" as you call them who were responsible for some recent deplorable behaviour by a very small percentage of the population?
I'm confident it wasn't Remainers.

You've already demonstrated that Brexit is not sufficient. You want to go further.

Like the commonwealth immigrants in the 50's and 60's. They took industrial action for better wages and better conditions but the unions didn't want to represent them, despite taking their union subs for months and years.
Those immigrants came at the request and invite of the UK government due to labour shortages but suffered terrible racism from xenophobes who didn't want them here.
However, despite black workers joining trade unions in large numbers, they were not welcomed by the UK trade union movement or the TUC. While the immigrant workers did not constitute a threat to the jobs of British workers because of acute labour shortages following the war, the TUC argued during the 1950's and 1960's that black workers did not integrate with white workers. This helped to stereotype black migrant workers as "problem" and "other". Even though during the 1969 TUC Congress, rank-and-file trade union members challenged the immigration controls and supported government's plans in calling for positive action to combat discrimination, the TUC General Council prevented the motion receiving majority support, thereby opposing government plans for anti-discrimination legislation.
During this period, the UK trade unions' position can be categorized as 'racist exclusive'. Some trade unions' preference was to, first, keep migrant workers out of the labour market, second, (since that wasn't possible) keep them out of the union, and third, since many became union members, exclude them from the entitled union benefits. In addition, during the 1950s there were a number of race riots, or attacks on immigrants by white youths and the Oswald Mosley's Union Movement. This culminated in the riots in Nottingham and London's Notting Hill in 1958 where black people were attacked in the streets and in their houses.

Things have moved on a lot from then, but why stop there? Go back further in time to when Britain was the centre of the slave trade. Let's visit the sins of our fathers on all of our heads and we can wear sackcloth and ashes in perpetuity.
Or we can say, this is the modern world, here is how we're going to interact with it. Lessons can be learned from the past but they shouldn't stop us from moving forward in the future.

But your idea of going forward is to reduce the civil liberties of the indigenous population and reduce the rights of immigrants:
.
And if our politicians ever get serious about actually doing it, it would have to be combined with a much firmer repatriation policy towards illegals.
