Hi,

I have a felt roof over a large section of my house. The felt has been on it for years and years but the recent advice of some roofers was if it ain't broke don't fix it!

By and large it isn't broke however a bit of the felt on the edge of the roof had become brittle and snapped away. This seems to have been patched up in the past. This is leaving a small amount of the wooden roof structure exposed and also allowing water to drip down the inside of the gutter and hit the windowsill beneath - very annoying.

How can I go about fixing this? I'm not looking to replace the entire roof!

Thanks,

Iain

That's the sort of thing flashband was invented for, you
will ideally need a blow torch/heat gun to best apply it.

Whatever the OP uses, it's gonna be tricky in this weather with these temperatures.
Best done in the summer really.

Acrypol!

Rain or shine, hot or cold.

Although, don't do what someone did once and try to warm the stuff up with a blow lamp to make it run easier. :cautious::rolleyes:
