Hey there just a quick question on my sitting room floor i have laminate wooden floor and underneath it is a concrete floor but i want to change the laminate to either semi solid or solid wooden floor, The thing i want to know is can i lay a semi solid/solid wooden floor straight onto a concrete floor or do i have to put lats underneath first?

Is your underfloor level, dry and sound? Then no lats are required. Du use a suitable underlayment (laminate underlayment is NOT suited for wood-engineered or solid floors) if you install the floor floating.

Yeah the underfloor is level, dry and sound. What type of underlay would i need?

a combi-underlayment that contains a DPM.

But....
Solid Floors - what to note
make sure you purchase a floor that is suitable to be installed floating, especially when you're thinking of solid floors instead of wood-engineered flooring
