Nish Kumar and a few others who use self-deprecating language about their race to try and get laughs. And there are one or two disabled 'comedians/comediennes' who try, by using their disability, to get laughs or give the impression the world should revolve around them.
What ever happened to good clean humour that you could sit and watch with your kids without feeling embarrassed?

Do you remember a comic called Tony Gerrard ? He always said "you think you've got problems? I'm black, Jewish and in a wheelchair".

No, never heard of Tony Gerrard to be honest.
I don't mind innuendo's, or double entendres' such Les Dawson, Tom O'Connor etc. Reasonably decent clean fun but I'm sick of this racist/disabled type of so called humour, especially when it's done by those very people who complain about the inequality in todays society.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty broad minded, but can't we get back to times when humour was humour and you didn't feel like squirming if your children, mother, grandmother is in the room watching as well?

BTW Mottie, didn't even raise the slightest turning up of my lips.

Michael Macintyre is one of the few comedians around nowadays who is funny without swearing or crossing the 'shock' line to be funny.

We saw Miles Jupp a couple of years ago, no swearing just clever observational comedy

Michael Macintyre is one of the few comedians around nowadays who is funny without swearing or crossing the 'shock' line to be funny.

He may come across like that on TV, but what about live ? Never found him funny myself, John Bishop is quite funny, I like Jack Dee as well, but he may be classed as an old school comic. Never saw him live, but Bob Monkhouse was supposed to be filthy when performing on stage, they have to tone down for TV, maybe MM effs and blinds on stage.

Funniest bloke i ever saw was Freddie Star..He was hilarious and v talented in his day.

We were due to see Tim Vine in May. Some of his one- liners make me laugh. That was rescheduled to October and has now just been rescheduled again until March next year.

Every programme now seems to go out of its way to make some pc statement of some sort...Countryfile has a bloke in a wheelchair plonked in the middle of a field,,watchdog,one show has the woman in a wheelchair interviewing the disabled,weather is read by the one arm person,move to the country is a gay couple,ffs....has to be a limit to all this positive discrimation sht...By all means if they are the best candidate for the job,,fine,, but stop the constant lecture and rammimg it down out throats.
