Hi I’m re-doing our bathroom. Here’s the order in which I would like to do things.
1. Remove old bathroom suite.
2. Removing all tiles and plasterboard.
3. Fit pipe work
4. Fit electric cables
5. Fit razor socket
6. Fit extractor fan
7. Apply 1/8" ply WBP plywood to floor (hoping will help stop chipboard floor squeaking )
8. Add plasterboard (aqua board near to bath)
9. Wall & floor tiles.
10. Fit electric shower (Topaz T100si 10.5kW).
11. Fit towel rail
12. Fit new bathroom suite.
13. Get electrician to connect shower, towel rail & razor socket
A few questions
Does this order look correct?
Do I need to contact my local building authority even if I’m not connecting anything myself?
What cable should I use for the shower?
I have spent time looking at the stickies and FAQs and my head is spinning with all the new terminology, so please don’t flame me!
