New bridge on the mersey

Does anyone actually know where the bridge is actually going to be?

Pretty close to where the present one is from what I've seen mooted in the past.
Slightly upriver.

To be fair I've only been over the existing one a few times and it never seems to get blocked up? So what's the need for a new one??

Try going over it in the rush hours.

I used the Runcorn bridge about 18months ago and they had 1 lane closed either way due to maintenance works and the tailback was for miles..I can imagine it to be the same in rushour...isnt that the bridge used in the cathedral cheese advert?

I use the bridge to go to work, luckily I miss rush hour...but if you get stuck on it about 5pm ish....lucky to get over it in 45 mins.

And when they close it, for the annual suicide jumpers! it grid locks the northwest.

I got to the slip road couple years back, when we had them high winds. They closed the bridge just as I got to it, was diverted through to Warrington...then, road closed due to a fallen tree

What would normally take me 20 mins to drive home, I got home after 6 hours!

A new bridge is really needed, and to the person who said it would only get stolen......its not really near Liverpool anyway

Surely it only needs to be a 'one way'? I cannot imagine people WANTING to go to Liverpool!!

Actually I believe it now does have a lot to offer. Not been for years, may be worth trying. Any recommendations?
