I am at loss on how to fit a new ceiling rose. I moved into a new home and all I have is a hole in the ceiling with wires jutting out.

Do I glue the new ceiling rose on top of the ceiling hole and then connect the wires?

cheers
arun

you should securly attach the ceiling rose i.e screw it to the ceiling, wiring information is in the referance section

Personally I'd get an electrician to do it, and send the bill to the cowboys who left the house in that state

It must surely break some regulation or other, and leave them liable to prosecution if you had been electrocuted.

I've heard of taking lightbulbs before, but not ceiling roses! I suspect that they had a ceiling fan or fancy light fitting that they wanted to take, but they should have replaced it with a standard rose.

If you aren't sure what you are doing, please be careful - those wires could be live and lethal.

Feel free to ask any questions before touching anything, though if you are unsure it is worth getting someone who is to do it.

Regards

Gavin
