New electric cooker connection

I have just bought a new electric oven and was wondering if the connection i have is ok to connect it to.

I have a 45amp double pole switch with 6mm cable running off for about 3 meters to the consumer unit this is fused with a re-wireable 30amp.
There is also some 6mm cable running from the switch that will if ok connect to the cooker, this runs about 1.5meter.

That appliance is rated at 9kw.

The circuit you describe sounds fine. 9kw is about 40 amps, but given discrimination, its fine to connect to a 30A device.
