New Extension Central Heating Query

I wonder if the pipework is done in pushfit.....its a bit of a giveaway with builders who dabble in a bit of plumbing. Not that push fit should cause the issues the OP has

Plumbers use pushfit, it's absolutely fine. I've just had a brand new heating system installed, mostly copper but with a few bits of pushfit where needed, e.g. to allow flexing between the roof and walls and a few awkward bits. Nothing wrong with the stuff, if it's decent stuff and done properly with inserts and clean cuts.

Over the years we have sorted a number of systems extended by 'builders '
Any number of possibilities simple air lock - crap in pipework through poor install - pipework connected to a section of system that's already at full capacity from a heat load point of view.
I've even seen pipework to new rads connected as a 2 pipe to a existing one pipe system.
Needs experienced eyes on.

Have you had the one where you touch something and get called because one rad doesn't come on any more. It was fine before you were there so they aren't paying.
Then you find the tails disappear into the floor but aren't connected to anything.
