A 20A radial in 2,5 is a standard circuit.

What's wrong with 20A 2.5mm radials (or 32A 4mm radials)..I thought the rest of the World sensibly used them over a dodgy 32A 2.5mm ring.

Nothing.

However some people get all busted up when they find circuits that are not a ring. Usually the same people who have always installed rings for everything and always will.

In modern installations, ring circuits are rarely useful or appropriate.

Tree circuits the way to go ie. radials with as many branches as required...idiot proof wiring.
