Hi all, just a quick one. Fitted a new immersion heater, last week and have been plagued by problems ever since. Problem is, it works and heats the water up for a couple of hours only for it stop working. Had spark in, who said the earth was loose, and that there was a problem with the neautral being live.
Out of interest does, the plastic clip that seperates the copper rods, have to be taken off being fitting, or is it left in situ. Many thanks

if you have it wired correctly and the N is live you have a break in the N (spark should know that)

never seen one with a plastic clip on but i would remove it
