Fitted one today in a cupboard, me backs killing me leanin over doing up all the nuts underneath. Also the jig is different, you cant pipe up the jig first :( kept bangin me ead off the flippin boiler, i'll have to go out tonight and get bladdered to take away the pain  Prefer the old one (mind you i only fit the things dont service or repair  )

as long as there more reliable lol i dont care.be a nice little boiler if they got the gremlins sorted i hope

I am biased but it is a superb boiler. It is actually an esprit hydroblock.(derived fae the mini)
Why dont you guys try the Esprit its cheaper and better than the isar!!!

The only thing they never transfered over was the low water switch and the syphon from the Esprit and in my opinion the should have.!

Its what your used to. You done need to use the preformed tails that come though make longer ones up yerself with elbows soldered on and saves the sore Heid well not tomorrow with yer hangover!!!

picked up an Esprit at a curry night, (a bribe). Very heavy but was quite a nice bit of kit when installed. Customer over the moon with operation & performance. Not had a single call back yet, bonus can now control preheat and very good sound/vibration proofing. Trying to negotiate terms/rebate and will consider using.

the ideal range are trash, the isar is a pup. shambolic works for em so I can understand his sales pitch but it's the long line of ideal combi, minimisers, responses, isars etc that have given ideal a bad name. I'd rather set my carpet on fire to keep warm than fit an ideal.

"We have listen to the installers and made the boiler they want" If they'd listen to the installers(service engineer) they would have stopped making boilers.

Best thing to do with an Ideal boiler is unpack it, then chuck the fecking thing in a skip :x

It's only coruption and back handers between Warmfront/councils/housing associations and installers that don't give a toss about their customers that have kept Ideal going...they should have gone years ago with the Response fiasco.

Responses were a complete pile of carp, but Isars and Icos's are fine...........kept me employed for a while :)

Your right about that, Warmfront did mine last year, you know what it's like when you get talking to them, They more or less confirmed the above statement.

whilst ideal continue to design their own heat exchangers they will continue to make carp boilers. The heat exchanger is a large part of the problem with these boilers and it remains in all the new range. They should swallow their pride(if they have any) like other sensible manufacturers and stick a gianonni in it.
