Hi all,
We've just had a new kitchen installed. (Not the most expensive, but certainly not cheap).
A couple of the drawers you have to push really hard to get them to 'soft close'. Theres also a spice drawer (tall and narrow) which you have to really pull to open, it feels like its stuck.
Are these likely teething issues that will correct themselves after use; or should I ask the kitchen store for new mechanisms?
Thanks

Where did you buy the units?
Can you go to a showroom and open/ close the units on display to see how they operate?

It might be that the carcass construction/installation narrows at some point toward the back of the unit. Even being slightly out of square can affect the smooth running of the drawers.

Blup

Some of the latest runners have 3d adjustment including side to side.

Have they been adjusted correctly at the back?

Yes - they all worked fine in the showroom.

I had an installer fit the kitchen. He did a good job and corrected some of the design errors. Ill ask him about if theres anything he can adjust, although he was the one that told me about the issue.

The fitter should be able to correct all faults or identify manufacturing faults .
