Sorry for probably a real stupid question but better to be safe than sorry. If you just replace and add a few more kitchen units in an existing kitchen and use only the electrical points already in place ie no new electrical points, does this need any form of permission from the building control etc.

Do you have an extractor in the kitchen , i.e. a cooker hood that vents to the outside?

Thanks for the earlier response. There is an cooker hood with filters but this does not extract to the outside, however ther is a large window with two large and one small openings..
