another trot who equates anything to do with traditional British values with negative traits

Funny, this is exactly the point I was trying to make. What are these British values that are so unique, that we don't already have, and that you think I disagree with?

"traditional British values"

well given that the UK is turning into a Banana republic, that wont be happening.

As long as it doesn't turn into a straight EU banana Republic that should be OK.

Yes you keep hold of those Daliy Mail EU tropes, they might keep you all warm and fuzzy on a cold winters day.

oh the irony of brexers claiming the EU is corrupt whilst applauding this utterly morally bereft government that gives out dodgy contract to its mates like confetti.

And then we can't even set a tampon tax with out going cap in hand to the EU  who would not give us permission

you are mistaken.

UK did set the "tampon tax"

Many years later, public opinion changed, and (eventually) UK government stirred itself enough to get off its fat asre and ask for an exception to end it. Which it was given. You are forgetting that UK was a member of the EU and (until it decided to throw them away) had membership of the committees and the Council, and seats in the European Parliament.

Why, even Farage was a member of the Fisheries Committee (but didn't bother turning up to the meetings).

A bit like your town has members of Parliament and perhaps has some ministers at Westminster and some members of Select Committees (let's hope they turn up, and do the job they're paid for).

Perhaps we have the wrong traditional values, has anyone worked out what they are yet?

Surely they're all laid out in the Manifesto for Fox's new political party.

Aren't they?

Why would a party not have any defined policies?

Fook me Notch, get out of your stockbroker enclave.
There have been plenty of banana republic areas in the UK for years, if not decades.
So much so, we laugh about the idiosyncrasies there, like we did at work yesterday(y)

There needs to be a new party. We have had only Labour and Conservative FOR EVER and neither does anything for this country. Both parties are misnamed: Labour hate the working classes; the Conservatives destroy rather than conserve. Both parties are anti-British, why do we vote for them?

UKIP did extremely well a few years ago, achieving 4 million votes and coming a very close second in many seats, yet due to the system that favours the only the two main parties, UKIP got only one seat.

UKIP, or a similar party, could achieve this, or more, again. Surely the population has had enough of the Cons and Labs now?

It's not a new party that's needed, it's a new electoral system . FPTP only suits Labour and Conservative ; other parties are an irrelevance.

And there was Mr who ever the traditional. Blue collar labour voter all his life

His father before him worried about bread and butter issues

Education
Law and order
Jobs
Housing

Gets a knock. On the door and is confronted by some labour party activist

Telling him vote Labour we are sorting out transgenda rights
