Bit late - but I don't want to be kept awake with worry!

I have fitted two new valves for a towel radiator as i'm doing up my bathroom - the radiator is not connected yet though (it's not even delivered yet!). So the valves are both off.

The problem is, one of the valves seems to not be shutting off all the water - very slowly, water is coming through the valve

Is there a way I can fix this? I've tried tightening things up but i'm worried that 8 hours later (through the night) will be enough to cause quite a bit of water damage

Thanks
Steven

no, not thermostatic

am i right in thinking this is the same problem as a 'dripping tap'

i.e. it could be a washer, etc.?

it is more likely to be dirt on the seating stopping it shutting ( are they new) you could try putting a tub or basin under it and open the valve slightly to flush a tiny bit of water (and hopefully the dirt) off the seating then close it, dry it and check what is happening
